The Yokoku relief carving collection was created by carving plaster molds directly from hand-painted pictures. The pattern on the dish extends to the rim, framing the food like a picture. This plate can also be used as a tray for stationery and accessories. This small dish is specially decorated with a crane, a symbol of good luck in Japan, so it makes a great commemorative or congratulatory gift.
