FUTAGAMI Toyama
Brass Bottle Opener, “ECLIPSE”
Over 100 years of history, “Futagami” based in Toyama Japan is a brass foundry manufacture that creates beautiful and functional pieces like this brass bottle opener called “Eclipse”. This product is not only functionally well thought through but, also this can be used as if this was just made for an interior decorative piece from its simple modern expression.
"WAKU" means "frame" in Japanese. It's a bottle opener with a simple frame shape. The outer surface is hairline-finished while it has a crude casting surface inside. "MIKAZUKI" and "NISSHOKU" mean "crescent moon" and "eclipse," respectively. They don't look like bottle openers at the first glance, but you will find them surprisingly easy-to-use. They may be kept on a bottle neck.
